Meet the Owner
Born in Boston, MA and raised in Norfolk, VA, Tayla Boyd’s personal struggles with her own skin sparked her passion for the esthetics industry. What began as a journey to better understand her skin evolved into a deeper commitment to helping others feel confident in theirs. In 2019, she launched her first skincare brand, mellyPop, further fueling her interest in skincare formulation and skin health. She later became a wax technician in 2022 and has continued serving clients as a licensed esthetician since 2025.
Through ongoing education and hands-on experience, Tayla created mellySkin with the goal of combining professional treatments, curated skincare, and client education in one supportive space. Her mission is to provide clients with the knowledge, guidance, and confidence she wishes she had when navigating her own skin concerns and self-esteem challenges.
